At PLUS, we want you to trust us with your information. We will not sell or rent any personal information we hold on you to other people or organisations. We will not share your personal information for others to use in their marketing or fundraising.


We will not share your information with anyone unless:

  1. This is necessary and permitted under law as a way to fulfil our role as a support provider and employer.

  2. We are required to provide information to a statutory body such as a court of law or a regulator which has the legal right to acquire the information.

  3. We strongly believe it is necessary to share the data in order to detect or prevent criminal activity

For Job Applicants and Employees:

PLUS holds some personal information about everyone who works for the organisation.
This information is essential so that we can employ, train and pay people. We also need
some personal information to be able to process job applications.


In addition to 1,2 & 3 above, we may share your information with a third party:

  1. If you work for PLUS and we need to share information for administration of tax, pension or payroll in relation to your employment. This means we share information provided by employees with our payroll provider; a pension provider and His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) for income tax and National Insurance administration.

  2. If you are an employee or trustee of PLUS and we need to share information with a regulatory body such as the Charity Commission or Companies House or with PLUS’s bankers as an essential part of your role as a trustee.

 

For Service Users, Families, and People who would like a Service from PLUS

In addition to 1,2 & 3 above, we might share your information with a third party if you get a service from PLUS and we need to share information with other health or social care
professionals to enable us to support you. We will seek your consent to this but we may
have to share some information even if you are unable to give consent, if it is decided that this is in your best interests.

PLUS uses Google Analytics to improve our website: Google Analytics is a service provided by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. purposes for which the national data opt-out would apply. We review all of the confidentialpatient information we process on an annual basis to see if this is used for research andplanning purposes. If it is, then individuals can decide to stop their information being shared for this purpose, using the National Data Opt-Out.
